John Bradley Lee family
John Bradley Lee family, his wife was Mary Ann Putman.
We wonder if she had some kind of illness that cause the dark sunken eyes.
I have been told that she was a most kind woman.

John Bradley Lee with his 3 oldest daughters
Mary Elizabeth (Oct 30, 1850 - SEP 18,1924), she married my gggrandfather John Wesley Hileman 1842 -1922 (he is the one scratched out in the last family pic I sent, standing next to him is son Will). I assumed they divorced, I have a summons to Mary for a hearing about the custody of their child. As I understand it their only child William lived with his father and 2nd wife, Nancy Caldona Harris (sister to Martha Louise Harris that is also a ggggrandmother of mine). Also pictured is Josie Lee (Louisa Josephine b:1865 and died fairly young, I have her obit and letters from admirers somewhere). Also is Rachel Cynthia b:1856. She never married and my grandparents Ernest and Ruth Hileman (and my dad Leslie) lived with Aunt Rachel until she died. The order, left to right is Josie, Rachel and Mary Elizabeth.

Home of Rachel Lee
Not sure about everyone but I know it is. William Pierce Hileman is under the arch with, possibly, his daughter Ethel and I'm pretty sure the Rickett twins that were orphaned and adopted. Maybe my grandfather Ernest with mother May and grandmother Mary Elizabeth.

Home of Rachel Lee
Josie and Rachel standing. Mary Elizabeth seated right and probably her granddaughter, Ethel Hielman. Not sure who the older woman seated to the left is. It's not Mary Ann Putman, the Lee grandmother or Mary Dunlap the Hileman grandmother. She could me Ethels other grandmother Martha Ann (Carroll) Ricketts, Carroll line was also rumored to have Indian lines.

Will and May with Ernest and Ethel.
My dad was born in this structure and I grew up playing around it.
Ernest was a band conductor while in the military (I think Army), I have the baton.
And my dad always dreamed of being a DJ and he drummed everywhere.
2 of his grandkids, my son included have become drummers!

I think the "Ricketts twins" were called so because they were adopted into the Ricketts family.

Pea Ridge Arkansas, ca 1914
The big white bldg. at the end of the street is the hotel that the Martins gave Gertie (Woods) and Luther Martin
as a wedding present. They married in 1916. They traded within the family for farm property. Shortly after
that it burned down. In the future my grandfather's (Luther) store will be located in the area where the crowd is.
